They done drove this the industry of art into a downturn so what somebody gotta say it but, nobody wants to play it . Too many questions and not enough answers. The industry has made billions off of stroking our ego to the point that we ain't getting what was rightfully ours.... our culture. It seems like we had it better in the days of Delois Tucker than we do now. At least we wasn't bowing down like that..or at all.
Everything has to stand its ground and it will stop. At one point labels were damn near giving away deals to the point that the artwork suffered dramatically. Now the culture suffers dramatically. Now it like they know how to send a rapper to jail...chain snatch. But one thing an emcee is something that is very precise and they live their words....
Nothing will ever take the place of hip hop not a new dance called flash in the pan, not a self serving movement , and sure not a inflitrated music label. Nobody is gonna tell you about what really matters because they don't feel the need to share what they have been blessed with.If I gotta go to the skate park to find and ensure the hip-hop culture can expand...then it is what it is.But ,no matter what they say bout Hip-Hop, it will always be in the hands of those who accept it as what it WAS and not where its going; cause they driving it to hell in a Bentley...Now when I watch Brown Sugar again, it will have more meaning than years back.
