This movie is one for the ages because talent does not descriminate. If you are born with something, it is something nobody can take away from you. They might oppress you but that talent will prevail.
The Soloist (Jamie Fox and Morton Downey Jr. ) is a film for the ages. It's about talented violinist found on the streets of Los Angeles. The journalist (Morton Downey Jr.) finds him as a very talented, impoverished violinist on accident to create a bond with him. The movie expresses the art of classical music and that its talent is always available to be taken to the next level. To become the person he feels he should, he succombs to medical treatment which challenges him and questions his sprit also. The movie is a very touching movie because it shows compassion, at the same time Morton Downey Jr. embraces his character so well.
The mindset of playing these types of characters is like a personal metamorphosis. The cast is a very strong cast that is Academy worthy . The question is, what member of that cast is going to have their claim to fame in this touching story?
