FIRST OFF THE WORD SWAG AIN'T GOIN OUT OF STYLE BECAUSE TOO MUCH MONEY BEING MADE OFF OF IT.
BEING BREAKING IS A ELEMENT OF HIP-HOP I WILL SPEAK ON ISSUES THAT A LOT OF CITIES FEEL PASSIONATE ABOUT. AND THESE WAVE OF DANCING STYLES IS EQUVALENT TO IT.
The ways of creating the idea of media is made thru different kinds of ideas. Most times it something that person that doesn't have whether the resources or what have you. But if anything does happen , it creates a backlash to unleash a whole new wave of genre. All it takes is that one exec that thinks "hmmm... i have been wanting to do this for a mighty long time". But,once that instrument of talent is found , with the right resources it becomes the next big thing
What creates the idea is something so magnifying that it is has a magnetic attraction to everything around it. For example in Tampa,FL they have this dance they do for years called jooking. The weekend of the Bet Hip-Hop Awards its was some cats from the Tampa area whom was pissed when "You're a Jerk :by The New Boyz " was performing because they accused of swagger stealing . "They come out here steal their style and bank off it because the production beats sound too similar". So, the only way they can be accused of it is by determing who has the dance the following the longest.
I see why somethings are kept extra silent. There are people with money just like there are people with talent and whoever can get to that person with the needed variable to succeed wins ... but that doesn't include reprcussion and consequence.
...And this is the type of info I hear from certain cities ...though the topic is different... the actions are still the same.
